BANK BOX
CLIENT: Monte dei Paschi di Siena

Model branch design for Monte dei Paschi di Siena

The idea of Bank Box comes from an innovative conception of a bank branch. The bank will no longer inspire the pre-conceived expectation of long, boring waits but will become a meeting point where the clients will find an assortment of activities geared to their interests.

Starting from a squared grid and the extrusions of several volumes, three different shapes are identified: a partition, a partition with a horizontal element and a pair of vertical partitions joined through a horizontal element. These different components acquire three different functions: a vertical garden in the Coffee Point, an artwork-exhibiting wall in the Art gallery, and a private consultancy box in the Bank area.
